Thank you for wanting to send me your book/books. Before you do, here are some things you should probably know.
My blog has over 1,100 followers and roughly 700 page views a month. I participate in blog tours and am happy to do cover releases, excerpts, author interviews, etc. (Note: I do not do author interviews until I have read the book.)
After being months behind for all of 2013, I am starting over with 2014 releases. I do plan to eventually read everything from 2013; however, my priority is 2014.
What I read: General and genre (chick lit and mysteries/thrillers/suspense) fiction, new adult fiction, YA (dystopian and contemporary), middle grade fiction, picture books (I have a niece now!), quirky memoirs/nonfiction (AJ Jacobs, for example) . I am on Netgalley and Edelweiss and absolutely accept e-galleys.
What I do not read: Urban fiction, short story collections (for the most part), political books, erotica, science fiction, most types of nonfiction.
There are exceptions, so when in doubt, ask. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I check email often and will get back to you as quickly as I can.
I don’t guarantee reviews for unsolicited books.
I do not sell ARCs, but reserve the right to do blog giveaways from time to time (they’re rare but they do happen). If you would rather not have an unfinished copy given away, please let me know. I also share ARCs with other bloggers. If you would prefer I not do that, please let me know.
In addition to my blog, I post reviews on goodreads.com. If you want the review posted on other websites, please let me know; I’m happy to do it.
Sending me a free book does not guarantee a good review (or a review at all). I don’t like giving negative reviews, but I prefer that rather than misleading my site’s visitors about books. If I absolutely can’t get into a book, I reserve the right to not finish it (even if it’s a book I requested).
Reviews will have a link to Amazon.com (through the book’s title), as well as a link to the publisher’s website (if it’s a book I received from the publisher) and the author’s website.
