Finished Watching Edie by Camilla Way. I received a copy for review.
This is told from Edie’s perspective now and from her friend Heather’s perspective in the past. Some unknown event has shattered their friendship (we don’t know what or whose fault it is). Edie’s got a new baby (and a pretty big case of post-partum depression) and Heather magically appears to help. And honestly, she’s creepy. Like Single White Female creepy.
This whole book is creepy. And intense. And when we finally learn what happened and why…WOW. The revelation calls everything else in the book into question. In that respect, it’s not unlike Gone Girl, though that’s really the only similarity there.
This is a completely unexpected novel. Recommended.
