Things I’m Obsessed With

Welcome to the latest Things I’m Obsessed With!

TV:

NASHVILLE.  Holy crap!  A highlight of my week is now watching Nashville on Thursday morning and then texting with Steph when she watches it Thursday afternoon.  I love Rayna and Deacon (and am totally team Rayna-and-Deacon; I saw someone online who was in favor of Rayna-and-Liam and I had to totally block the person’s identity out.  Liam is not trustworthy.  And also DEACON.  That’s all I have to say about that.

Oh, wait.  I hate Juliet and Avery.  Now I really am done. :)

Books:

Still in the book pit.  Still climbing out.  After an excellent book week last week (the new Joe Hill!  An e-ARC of the new Marian Keyes!), I am currently at just a shade over 150 books.  But I will persevere and ultimately triumph.  Just in time for BEA (now under three months away! Or, as I am choosing to look at it, basically really only two months away since it is the month after next!)!  And am I excited for BEA?  Why, yes.  Yes, I am.  My goal is to be under 100 review books by BEA (and if it could be more like 75, that’d be even better).

And because I AM so far behind, during every TIOW post (that would be this one, for those of you who are not fond of acronyms), I plan to feature one book that I will be reviewing soon that I am super excited to get to.

The inaugural book?

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell.  It’s been blurbed by John Green (and the book itself compared to his), Courtney Summers, Stephanie Perkins and Gayle Forman (so all authors I absolutely love) AND Steph absolutely loved it.  It came out on Feb. 26 and I will be getting to it soon!  But not soon enough.

So what are you obsessed with this week?

I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much better Nashville has gotten over the course of the season. I think the writers and actors have found a good groove.

I sort of like Liam — and the way Rayna is with him — but we know that’s just a diversion. We’re all Team Deacon in this house… :)
