Things I’m Obsessed With

Welcome to the latest Things I’m Obsessed With!

Books:

I have my reading mojo back! Which is good, because BEA is closer than we think and I need to start paring down these books for review. And there are some excellent ones in the stack. Thanks to Edelweiss, I have a copy of Life After Life (the new Kate Atkinson), which is supposed to be this year’s Gone Girl. I’m also excited for the new Daniel Palmer (Stolen) and the new Harlan Coben (Six Years), Z (a novel about Zelda Fitzgerald), Gameboard of the Gods (Richelle Mead), The Book of Broken Hearts (Sarah Ockler), Lauren Graham’s novel (Someday, Someday, Maybe), Wedding Night (Sophie Kinsella)…

So there’s a lot of great books ahead; keep an eye out for reviews on my blog. :)

TV:

The Oscars are Sunday! I’ve been very open about not thinking that Argo will win Best Picture, and I’m excited to see if I’m right (#TeamLincoln). Also, Argo was released on DVD yesterday and I’m excited to see it again. I don’t think it was the best picture, but it was very fun and I loved it.

Movies:

A couple of the BP nominees are coming out on DVD next month. Life of Pi and Les Miserables both come out before my birthday and very excited to see them again. Life of Pi was a huge surprise for me and Les Miz was just as wonderful as I wanted it to be. (I think that one was my favorite, but I’m also very excited to see Silver Linings Playbook and that one doesn’t have a release date yet.)

So what are you obsessed with this week?

Remind me to purchase and read “Z” when it’s released. Zelda Fitzgerald was a vibrant, tragic woman, and I look forward to see how she’s presented as a novel character.

My reading mojo is back too. It’s great to find out what you’re reading – it’s different from what I’m delving into these days, but I always appreciate your thoughtful approach to what you’ve read.
