So, you’ve all heard me speak of The Pull of Gravity, my beloved YA contemporary novel by the awesome Gae Polisner? I think it’s come up in conversation here, yes?
TPoG, as I call it, is one of my most favorite books and I love promoting it as often as I can. And on Feb. 5, it comes out in paperback! So in honor of that, I’m doing a giveaway. (US only; sorry.)
Leave me a comment to enter. Contest ends on release day.
Great idea! I love The Scoot!
Sent from my iPad
and what do i find when I check your blog this morning?! :) You are so everything good, Kelly. Glad my book brought us together. Thanks for loving it so. <3 (p.s. do not enter me in the contest ;))
Are you sure? You may need another copy. ;)
Thanks. And me too. :)
Gae makes me smile and think and I really want a copy of TPoG. Plus now I get to follow your blog.
Good luck! :) we love Gae here.
Ack! I want to enter! :D
And so you shall. :)
I want to like your comment!
I would love a paperback copy to share with students when we read this alongside Of Mice and Men! Can’t wait!
Good luck! :)
I love TPoG and Gae, too. I have it on my Nook, but need to have a hard copy, even if it’s a soft paperback, know what I mean?
Yay! I finally found you and the first thing I see is a giveaway! VERY cool! Kelly, I can not believe how much alike our blogs are. I have the same background and Mine is called “and that’s all she wrote”. I totally didn’t know I was copying off you (kind of). lol I didn’t even see this one until just now (as you know). Aw well…. Can’t wait to see what all you’ve got going on over here!
would love to share your book with my students!!! kate kresse —my blog is: believeanyway.wordpress.com
found you through cathy monteiro
thank you, Kate! What grade do you teach? You can email me at g.polisner@gmail.com — always offer free Skype visits to teachers who bring my book into their classrooms! <3
HOORAH! HOORAH! (You don’t need to enter me, I already have it. But, HOORAH!)
I’ve been meaning to read it… now I have no excuses.
I hope you ALL win. Er. Okay, I can’t make that happen, but how about we pick TWO winners, Kelly, and I send a signed one out from here. The other I will send a signed “bookplate” to, if I ever get my ass in gear to order bookplates. Today is the day I will. :)
I don’t know how you’re going to pick, Gae! :)
I told you. I’m going to throw up tiny pieces of paper with the names on them and whichever ones I catch on my tongue first (like snowflakes) will win.
VERY effective! Me likey…
I want to read this book.
Ooh! Me, too! Me, too! My blog is http://BooksYALove.blogspot.com – and I love Gae’s contributions to the Teachers Write community on FB, also.
thank you, Katy!
I loved the book. It was amazing and I couldn’t put it down. It would be a honor to get a singed coppy of the pull of gravity. Gae pollisher is one of my favorite authors, and a great inspriation in me presueing my writeing crear.
I soooooo want to read this book! I am a also a big fan from Teachers Write. Congrats to Gae and many thanks for leading me to Kelly’s blog.
Good luck everyone! I too, like Kelly, and a HUGE fan of this book. H-U-G-E fan! I love this book so much! I hope you all enjoy it too! if you do not win it, PLEASE buy a copy! For the teachers that are looking at this book, I wish I could buy you ALL a copy for your classroom. NO LIE! I would have loved to have had books like this in school back in the day! ANY teacher that is open minded enough to allow new books to come in and let the students learn from them is AMAZING in my eyes! Not that teachers are not amazing anyway! Please do not enter me in the contest. I have my copies of TPoG!! <3
Would love a copy of this for my classroom!
mindy, how much do I owe you?!?! (gosh, what would i do without you guys?!). pass the word on. A few more days to enter. And two copies being given away! One signed from me, here, and the original one from there from Kelly. Though maybe I’ll have to find a way to sign that too. Or at least throw in signed bookmarks?!

YAY for TPoG in paperback! Yay for shiny new covers and new features. Yay for Gae. Yay for Kelly. All in all, lots worth celebrating here, and I’m glad to one of the cheerleaders!!
Ooh, pick me, pick me! My name on a piece of paper floats just like a snowflake…true story! I would absolutely love to receive an autographed copy of TPoG! I would display it proudly and brag continuously. And I totally dig that you are giving away the teensy-tiny trolls.
Well, Angela, if your name floats like a snowflake, you are a shoe-in. Shoo-in?
Ooooo, love this book. Definitely re-read worthy. I’d love to be entered in the contest =)
I love when the powers of the universe come together like this… My kindle officially broke today and I ordered a bunch of paper books on amazon to feed my reading habit until I get a new one. I did not order TPoG, as chance would have it!
I guess I should start writing names on tiny snowflakes… three more days… :)
I’m just glad you get to pick instead of me. :)
This book is as awesome as the author who wrote it. I can’t wait for Gae’s next book!:)
aw, thanks Andy. Cancel the contest. Andy wins! :) Kidding. You all win. Kidding. I can’t afford that. :\
Neither can I. :)
HAH! My book is going to bankrupt us all! Now there’s an achievement! :)
My book club has skyped with Gae! She’s awesome! Also love the book. So good. The freshmen at my school have this book in their curriculum now :) I’m very excited that the paperback is out and think that the cover is cool!
ooh, T, your blog looks BEAUTIFUL! congrats. :)
Sign me up. Pretty please!
good luck, everyone! only a few days left. I’d better start making snowflakes. :\
oh yay! pick me!! :-)
Yay! Carrie is here! Pick her!
It’s up to Gae. I pick no one.
Gae! Make sure Carrie’s snowflake is well aimed! :D
I would like to enter, please! :)
YAY! Diane is here too!
(did someone say free good book????) pick me! pick me!
WOOO! Janine is here too! :D
okay, in case you missed it on Kelly’s fb page, I am having some trouble catching the paper snowflakes on my tongue (read: my husband spent the morning laughing at me from the bedroom as I was trying, then yelled out, “you’re going to hurt yourself aren’t you?!?). So, there will be snowflakes, but the tongue catching thing is probably out. :) NOT for a lack of trying…
Watch out for those paper snowflake paper cuts! OWWWWW!
FYI, there were lots of snowflake catching attempts, finally spearheaded by my younger son, using a cup instead of our mouths, and the winners were: KATY and ANGELA. There’s a video somewhere to prove it, but you’ll have to talk to Kelly about that. Books and swag are on their way. Happy reading everyone! And thanks to Kelly for hosting. :)
Yay! I’m so excited and can’t wait to read it!
