There are a lot of great horror movie remakes and reboots that I’m excited for.
1) Carrie. It’s directed by Kimberly Peirce (who did Boys Don’t Cry) and stars Chloe Grace Moretz (Let Me In, Amityville Horror remake, Wicked Little Things) and Julianne Moore. It has a teaser trailer out now and looks very good.
2) It. I don’t know very much about this, but the made-for-TV version was very good and very scary. What can they do with a real budget, 2012-era special effects and no censors? I’m excited (and scared) to find out.
3) Poltergeist. I was initially very worried but Sam Raimi is directing. It may not be better than the original, but it should definitely be worth seeing.
