Casablanca won Best Picture. It is also one of the 100 Years, 100 Movies (#2 or #3, depending on which list you go by), 100 Years, 100 Thrills, and 100 Years, 100 Passions selections. So yes, it’s one of the better movies out there.
I know people who don’t like Casablanca (and these are movie people, people who appreciate good movies) and every time I think about that, it makes me sad. I love Casablanca and everything about it. I love the dialogue, the acting, the setting, the clothes…everything.
I hope you’ve seen it. If not, you really should.
I am ashamed to say that I’m one of the few who hasn’t seen it! And there’s no excuse because you got it for me for Christmas last year! Must watch it very soon!

I couldn’t write for months after that. I was pretty well depleted. Still, anytime you can write Sam into Emil’s roulette game, I think you have to do it, right?

Seriously, my #2 through #10 all time favorite films keep changing. Casablanca is #1 by a huge margin. I almost feel bad for the rest.
